Privacy Policy

For newberrybible.com and the NoteMaker Bible app for iPad. Last updated October 20, 2026.

Newberry Bible (newberrybible.com) and the NoteMaker Bible app are run by AutoEx Inc., in Ontario, Canada. This page says what we keep about you, why, and what you can do about it. In short: we keep only what is needed for your account and your notes, we don't track you, we show no advertising, and we never sell or share your information.

What we keep

Your account

If you create an account, we keep your name, your email address, and your password (stored only in a scrambled form we can't read back), and when you confirmed your email. Your email is used to sign you in, to confirm it is yours, to reset a forgotten password, and to answer you if you write to us. We don't send newsletters or advertising.

When you sign in on the iPad app, the app is given a sign-in key for that device, kept in the iPad's Keychain. Signing out removes it.

Your notes

When you are signed in, what you add to the Bible is kept in your account so it can be shown on the website and on your other devices: your handwriting and highlights, typed notes, pictures you add, bookmarks, headings and references in the margins, Study Notes, Memory Verses, and the size of each page's margins. These are kept only for you: no one else can see them, and we don't look at them except when you ask us to help with a problem.

The OneNote edition's download

When you download the OneNote edition, we record when, from which internet (IP) address, and with which browser, to protect the download from abuse.

Messages you send us

If you use the Contact page, your name, email and message come to us by email, so we can reply.

What the website itself needs

The website uses one cookie to keep you signed in, and one that protects its forms. It keeps a few choices (such as which margin notes you show) in your own browser. Like every website, its server keeps a short record of requests (addresses and pages asked for) for security and to find faults. There are no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.

What stays on your iPad

The app keeps your notes on your iPad. Once a day it makes a backup of them on the iPad and, if you choose, in your own iCloud Drive: those backups are yours, kept by Apple under your Apple account, and we can't see them. The app collects no analytics and no information about how you use it.

Who else handles it

We don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Your choices

Children

The site and app are for readers of all ages. An account asks only for a name and an email address, and keeps only the notes its owner adds; nothing is used for advertising or shared. A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to see or delete a child's account, and everything in it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new one will be here, with its date at the top. If a change is important, we'll tell account holders by email.
